Joan M. Roediger, JD, LLM
A partner with the law firm of Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP
Ms. Roediger concentrates her practice on representing physicians with the various legal issues they face including employment agreements, hospital guarantee agreements, co-ownership (buy-in) agreements, medical director agreements, restrictive covenant issues, practice sales, practice divestitures, practice mergers, network development, HIPAA compliance, Medicare audits and compliance as well as other hospital and managed care agreements. Ms. Roediger has a law degree from the Widener University School of Law and a Master’s in Law, in taxation, from the Georgetown University Law Center. Ms. Roediger is a nationally recognized lecturer and speaks to hundreds of physicians each year on issues relating to their professional career. She is the author of numerous articles and is frequently quoted in articles relating to legal and practice-management issues. She is also the consulting editor to three publications: Physicians News Digest, Managed Care Contract Negotiator and the Ophthalmology Compliance Insider.

Michael C. Waters, CEBS

Mike Waters is the founder and President of the Benefit Planning Group, Inc. (BPG) and the Reliance Financial Group, LLC (RFG). He has worked in the Employee Benefits and Financial Services industry for 18 years and is certified through the Wharton School of business as a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist. Both BPG and RFG specialize in assisting physicians throughout the country meet their varied corporate and personal insurance and financial needs. Mr. Waters is nationally recognized as a specialist in the physician financial services marketplace and has been instrumental in designing insurance and investment programs that have been implemented in over 40 medical schools, as well as, over 30 university physician faculty practices across the country. He is located in Durham and has been a valuable resource for Duke's house staff program and the School of Medicine.
Marjorie A. Satinsky, MBA

Marjorie A. Satinsky, MBA is President of Satinsky Consulting, LLC, a consulting firm in Durham , NC. Prior to establishing her own company in 2002, she worked for 30 years in community and academic settings in both medical practices and hospitals. She ran a pediatric specialty practice in Chapel Hill, NC (Student Success Center of All Kinds of Minds, Inc.), served as president of a large Physician Hospital Organization (PHO) in Raleigh, and was Duke Medical Center 's director of Managed Care Contracting and Operations. She held various hospital positions in Massachusetts and was the first hospital-based managed care director in that state. She also served on the Board and Executive Committee of the Tufts Associated Health Plan in Massachusetts and the Alice Aycock Poe Center for Health Education in North Carolina .
Ms. Satinsky is the author of two books, The Foundations of Integrated Care (1998) and An Executive Guide to Case Management Strategies (1995) and numerous articles on medical practice management for the North Carolina Medical Board Forum and other professional journals. She is an Adjunct Faculty member at University of North Carolina School of Public Health.
