The Duke Medical Alumni Association helps you create and strengthen lifelong relationships with classmates, colleagues, faculty, and future physicians. Our membership includes graduates of the Duke University School of Medicine, former Duke house staff, current medical students, current house staff, and Duke University Medical Center (DUMC) faculty.

The Medical Alumni Association sponsors community building and educational events, publications, and special programs to enhance the experiences of Duke medical students and house staff.

Our Mission:

The Medical Alumni Association seeks to support and promote the interests of DUMC and its extended community and to nurture lifelong relationships and learning. The Medical Alumni Association shall contribute a framework through which the Medical Center family continues to thrive, alumni concerns are addressed, and alumni participation in the life and vitality of DUMC is encouraged. The spirit through which this mission is carried out shall be one of cordiality, enhancing communication and good fellowship among its members and with students, house staff officers, faculty and administration of DUMC.

Our Goals:

Continually enhance the relationship between the Duke University School of Medicine and medical alumni.

Increase the number of medical alumni involved with the Duke University School of Medicine.

Lay the foundation for lifelong relationships with future medical alumni.

Develop an effective volunteer organization that supports and implements the mission of the Medical Alumni Association.

Continually assess and address the needs of medical alumni through communication and programming.

Increase the impact of alumni on the Duke University School of Medicine's future through increased volunteer leadership, increased number of alumni contributors, as well as increased level of financial support from alumni.
