DukeConnect is a database of alumni, parents, and friends of Duke who have volunteered to assist fellow alumni and current students with their career exploration process. DukeConnect is a networking tool to be used as a source of information about majors/fields of study, industries, and career paths. Alumni-Student Link Program
This program will match one Duke Med alumnus(a) with an incoming medical student in order to promote networking, mentoring, and support for the students as well as a perspective on the Duke School of Medicine for physician alumni. Students and alumni will have the opportunity to share and learn from each other as they build relationships.

HOST Program (Help Our Students Travel)
This program matches students with alumni volunteers who provide a free place to stay during internships and residency interviews. Alumni also provide invaluable advice about residency training and the prospective medical center and community in which they are interviewing.

Class Reunion Chair
The individual in this vital role will assist with planning and coordinating the reunion communication effort, work with Medical Alumni Affairs to enhance components of Medical Alumni Weekend, attend Medical Alumni Weekend class events, and host the class dinner program.

The Class Reunion Co-chair
This key individual will assist the Class Reunion Chair in communication and event planning efforts, attend Medical Alumni Weekend class events, and co-host the class dinner program.

Reunion Communication Committee
Working under the direction of the Class Chair, responsibilities include coordinating with Medical Alumni Affairs to conduct the reunion communication effort by contacting classmates by phone and/or email and assisting the Class Reunion Chair with reviewing and researching the lost alumni list.

The above three positions begin in October of the year preceding the reunion and conclude with the reunion weekend. Please contact Margaret Moody or (919) 667-2514 to volunteer or discuss these positions.


School of Medicine Class Agents
Individuals serving in this capacity provide leadership, philanthropic support, and time during their class reunion gift campaign to help raise a special Class Reunion Gift. Class Agents are usually chosen in their fourth year of medical school, and most have served their class since that time. Agents solicit classmates for reunion gifts through letters and phone calls and focus on class participation and Davison Club membership.

Medical Alumni Council
The Council, the leadership organization for the Medical Alumni Association, develops relationships with medical alumni and future medical alumni and assists with fund-raising. Council representatives include School of Medicine and house staff alumni, current students, house staff, faculty, president of the Davison Club, and the School of Medicine representative to the Duke University Alumni Association Board of Directors. The Council meets twice a year and members are elected to rotating three-year terms at the fall meeting. Committees include Awards, Development, and Alumni Programs and Communications.

School of Medicine Admissions Volunteers
The Office of Admissions seeks alumni to interview prospective students in their regions. Alumni within twenty years of graduation are needed for this important part in the selection process.
